About
Lord Margadale is kindly opening his garden on Sunday 28th April between 12pm - 5pm in aid of Seeds4Success, an incredible youth based local charity that gives support & training to young people who are at risk of becoming, or who already are, Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET).
You'll find formal areas, a no dig kitchen garden, beautiful herbaceous beds with Tulips, Irises, Alliums, Delphiniums & Euphorbias to name but a few. There are a small selection of old and new sculptures including a water feature by William Pye, and to the north of the house there are wonderful woodland walks with Azaleas, Magnolias, Camellias, Rhododendrons & Acacias.
Many (but not all) of the stalls on the day will be owned and run by the young people (some as young as 8yrs old) from Seeds4Success, who will be selling their own artwork, soaps, paper art, etc. Do please bring cash for these stalls because the money will go straight to the child/owner of the stall, who won't have a card machine. They will also be singing and playing musical instruments throughout the day. And of course delicious refreshments will be served all day from Sol Bakery, with a wine stall and an ice cream van nearby.
Entrance is £10 per person if booked in advance via Eventbrite, £12 on the gate and free for children under 12. Well behaved dogs are welcome on leads. Unfortunately, there is restricted wheelchair access in some areas.
