About
EAST OF THE SUN, WEST OF THE MOON
A MAGICIAL QUEST FROM THE FROZEN NORTH FOR THIS FEBRUARY HALF TERM
What do you do if you end up married to a polar bear, who is actually an enchanted Prince, and then said Prince is whisked away to be forced to marry a troll? You set out to rescue him, of course! Our heroine is no shrinking violet, she knows her own mind and never gives up - she just picks herself up, dusts herself off and keeps going, an empowering story for all of us.
The award winning Bradfordians are this February half term with a wintry theatrical treat for the whole family. Based on the Norwegian folk tale East of the Sun, West of the Moon is the tale of a poor farmer's daughter who finds herself married off to a White Bear King - and that's only the start of her adventure...
Discover a whole new world of enchantments to be broken, epic journeys to be undertaken and devious trolls to thwart. Can our heroine Mari find her way to the castle that lies East of the Sun, West of the Moon before it's too late??
The show is directed by Lucy Upward and stars Georgiana Snelling as Mari, Fraser Gibson as Prince Valemon and Jacs Brady as the evil Troll Queen accompanied by a wonderful cast of local children and adults full of energy and gusto, supported by a whole host of backstage crew helping to bring this tale to life! Just the tonic you need for the cold winter's night.
