About
Cordelia Williams celebrates two visionary composers, Beethoven and Scriabin, before exploring Brahms' painful inner world through Drei Klavierstücke Op. 117, regarded as "three lullabies for my sorrows" by the composer. The recital concludes with Schubert's luminous A major Sonata which is full of magical harmonic strokes and sublime melodies. Recognised for the poetry and conviction of her playing, Williams has played all over the world, including in Nairobi, Kenya where she travelled to work with young aspiring classical musicians in 2021. A former Youth Orchestra member and WMC Young Artist, Cordelia returns as an Artist in Residence for 2022
