January's Headliner – Ricky Balshaw
Our Headliner this time is Ricky Balshaw. Ricky is a comedian and Paralympic, World Championship and European Championship dressage medallist. A quick-witted, slow walking, fast rising star, Ricky Balshaw is without question, the funniest Paralympic Dressage medallist in the UK, perhaps the world.

Ricky reached the semi-final stage of the 2021 BBC New Comedy Award competition, and appeared on on BBC One and BBC Three. He also won Best New Act in the 2021 Midlands Comedy Awards and he has performed at comedy clubs and festivals around the UK including Just The Tonic, Glee, Leicester Comedy Festival and Brighton Fringe.

Stepping over his cerebral palsy like it's the mildest of inconveniences, Ricky pulls his audience into a joyfully dark world of self-deprecating hilarity. No sympathy vote is needed (or accepted) as Ricky dominates comedy stages up and down the UK.

A brilliant joke-smith and storyteller, this young man has comedy greatness in his bones.
