Bradford on Avon are hosting a programme of events to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee from 2nd-5th June 2022. From Thursday – Saturday will be an historical exhibition and celebration of Bradford on Avon over the past century featuring photos and stories, as well as film and audio, from the people who have shaped the town in line with the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Then on Saturday shall be a tea party, free for all to attend with a brass quintet, Jubilee face painting and traditional children’s games, including skipping, sack races and a crown making competition – to be judged by the Town Mayor, Cllr Sarah Gibson. Following on from the afternoon tea party in Holy Trinity Church will be a live music performance across Westbury Garden and Lamb Yard with an exciting line up including The Pinkertons, Beetroot Jazz and Pseudocreme. Finally, on the Sunday Bradford on Avon Town Council in partnership with the Alex Moulton Charitable Trust is hosting a ticketed entry to enjoy Jubilee at The Hall on 5th June from 2-5pm including a traditional Punch and Judy show, live music performances by Glastonbury Brass and Wiltshire Jazz Academy, as well as food and fizz on the lawn. To round off the Jubilee celebrations, the Town Council is hosting a ticketed entry to a elegant evening of live opera at St Margaret’s Hall with two opera singers, accompanied by a pianist, to treat music lovers to one last fitting celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.
