Remembrance Day
Concert of Remembrance with Middle Wallop & Andover Military Wives Choir
Join Middle Wallop & Andover Military Wives Choir at the Army Flying Museum at 7pm on Friday 8th November for a special evening of Remembrance. They will be performing a collection of songs and poems. Refreshments will be available. Proceeds will be split between Middle Wallop & Andover Military Wives Choir and the Museum.
Festival of Remembrance, The Civic Trowbridge
Join in commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day at this year's Festival of Remembrance which promises to be a poignant and moving event, where locals and visitors will come together to pay tribute to the brave individuals who have served their country with courage and dedication.
As you gather at The Civic, Trowbridge on Friday 8th November, there will be space for veterans, their families, and the wider community to share in the stories of sacrifice, resilience, and camaraderie that define our shared history.
Firework Displays in Wiltshire
Celebrate Bonfire night and enjoy a firework display in a beautiful setting in Wiltshire.
Displays take place in most of our bigger towns across the county including Swindon, Bradford on Avon and Calne. You can find further details here.
Calne Bonfire and Fireworks
Calne’s Bonfire and Firework Display will be hosted once again at Beversbrook Sports and Community Facility, Calne.
Not only does the event boast a fantastic display, provided by Anytime Fireworks, but it also hosts Jennings funfair, live entertainment and much more.
Swindon Lions Fireworks Display
Swindon Lions Club will be holding its annual fireworks show on Saturday 2nd November 2024 at the Polo Ground, Marlborough Road.
In addition to the Fireworks display and BBC Radio Wiltshire's James Threlfall there will also be a funfair as well as refreshment stalls.

A Fairytale Christmas at Mompesson House
This 2024, fairy-tales will come alive at Mompesson House as you are taken back in time for a magical Victorian Christmas. Mompesson will be open upstairs and downstairs for Christmas. Fairytales meet a Victorian Christmas in this immersive storytelling experience, perfect for both the young and the young at heart.
Discover the three bears' Christmas feast, follow Hansel's trail to the tea-room and listen to some fairy tales in the Library. Throughout Christmas we'll have a free activity sheet to keep little minds occupied. On weekends we'll have free storytelling sessions in the second-hand bookshop in the morning and afternoon.
Christmas on the Square, Salisbury
Salisbury City Council in partnership with Mynt Image Ltd, are excited for a brand-new Gift Fayre located in Salisbury’s Guildhall Square this year.
As part of Christmas on the Square in 2024, visitors to Salisbury can expect a unique shopping experience in the form of a giant, fully festive chalet featuring an array of over 30 incredible local crafts people offering artisan products that will make the perfect gifts for loved ones this Christmas.
