Endless summer adventures with the National Trust in Wiltshire

Get ready for a summer full of fun with activities to cater for everyone as part of our Summer of Play, sponsored by Starling Bank.

At Lacock and Stourhead you’ll find impressive new summer play areas, both packed with games, a new craft every week and workshops. Lacock has a hay-bale stage, rock-climbing wall (29 July – 2 August), nature play area and sensory play tent for younger children.

At Stourhead you can build a giant marble run, climb obstacles, explore a maze and discover a straw-bale fort.

Meanwhile Avebury will have a nature-based obstacle course in the Old Farmyard, and Mompesson lawn games in the walled garden.

Summer Holiday Fun on the Farm, Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm

Head to Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm for a summer of family fun! Explore 42-acres of farm, woodland, and vineyards as you enjoy a jam-packed programme of daily activities including animal feeding, guinea pig fishing, pig races and more! Taking place throughout August is a range of mid-week shows including Bluey, Peppa Pig and The Transformers!

The Salisbury Summer Fair

Get ready for a fun-filled day with the family on Saturday 3 August, as you join many others in celebration of the 10th Salisbury Summer Fair at Wilton House! Brace yourself for a day packed with thrilling activities, live music, children’s rides and much more!

Wiltshire Game & Country Fair

Set within the beautiful surroundings of Bowood House is this year’s Wiltshire Game & Country Fair. With main arena attractions running throughout the day, supported by a host of smaller country sports arena and workshops, as well as the very best activities and entertainment, it’s the perfect family day out!

If Opera, Bradford on Avon: Thursday 24th – Thursday 31st August

Join If Opera with an incredible 2024 programme at Belcombe Court in Bradford on Avon.
