Tell us a bit about yourself and your role
Hi my name is Kirsty I have lived in Amesbury for 6 years now and I love it here. It is so welcoming and Amesbury is such a little quirky town. I am the House Supervisor here at the Fairlawn and I love it so much. I wish the walls could talk - oh what storys this beautiful building could tell!
Kirsty Judd started as a Housekeeper and in a very short space of time has grown into a much loved and inspiring leader, running the daily operations at Fairlawn House, A Little Place in Amesbury. She has a mission to put community and people first, working with local partners and artisans to bring the hotel to life. The team receive the most wonderful reviews for being so welcoming and creating an authentically local experience for their guests.
What do you like best about your role?
That I get to work in this very old but amazing house and that I have such a great team of talented people, we all have such fun working here.
Where are your favourite places to visit in Wiltshire and why?
Salisbury Cathedral with its very tall and stunning spire. The grounds are so beautiful when its all lit up at night, it is just magical.
Do you have any hidden Wiltshire gems that you’d like to share with our readers?
You can’t go wrong with a lovely country walk, there are so many to choose from but a visit to Old Sarum is the best, where the views from the top are amazing.
Where’s your favourite Wiltshire picnic spot?
The grounds of Salisbury Cathedral are perfect in the spring and summer sunshine, with plenty of space and what view!
Where are your favourite places to eat out in Wiltshire and why?
I love all the little county pubs around Wiltshire there are so many. The Woodford Valley has two lovely pubs and the food is amazing at both so I highly recommend these.
