Visit Bowood House & Gardens on the 25th-27th of October for outdoor screenings of some true Halloween classics. Starting with The Shining, followed by Hocus Pocus and finally, The Lost Boys. Owl-O-Ween

Enjoy a wicked evening at Hawk Conservancy Trust with their Owl-O-Ween event on October 28th. Enjoy ghostly storytelling and incredible flying displays as their owls put on a show, swooping across the moonlit grounds. Follow spooky trails and explore the site, meeting some spectacular birds, like the native Barn Owls or the Verreaux’s Eagle-Owl!

Chippenham’s Halloween Spooktacular

Bought to the town by Made to Measure Productions, Halloween Spooktacular is the perfect event for some family-fun with plenty of laughs this season! Expect a jam-packed show of Halloween hits, ultra-violet puppetry and much more to get involved in!

Halloween Action Day

For motor lovers, head to Castle Combe Circuit for some gripping non-stop track action. With awesome paddock displays, thrilling drifting demos and a chance to take the wheel yourself, it’s a fun day for all!

Festivals

Wiltshire has a host of carnivals, festivals and unique events taking place this month!

Trowbridge Carnival

Watch the incredible displays of illuminating floats taking part in the towns procession on October 22nd. Starting at 7pm, follow the carnival from Canal Road, through the town, before finishing at Cradle Bridge. Continue the evening with a presentation at Wesley Road Club from 10pm!

Marlborough Big & Little Mop Fair

One of the towns highlights, the Marlborough Big & Little Mop Fair offers a host of activities for the whole family! Visit the town on the 9th and 16th of October to join in on all the fun!

Cotswold Water Park Ball

Cotswold Lakes Trust is hosting its biggest fundraising event, the Cotswold Water Park Ball on Saturday, 15th October. Located at the De Vere Cotswold Water Park Hotel, this black-tie event will feature a sparkling wine reception and a three-course dinner with entertainment to follow from The Curious Little Big Band.

Salisbury Charter Fair

Taking over the Market Place on the 16th-19th of October is the Salisbury Charter Fair. Lighting up the city centre with plenty of activities to enjoy and stalls to browse, there’s fun for the whole family! Take part in traditional fair favourites from dodgems and hook-a-duck, to ghost trains and more!

Stonehenge Campsite Volksfest

Come and show off your VW camper or Cars at Volksfest this month! Visit the Stonehenge Campsite on the 21st-23rd October and enjoy nightly entertainment in the main barn, as well as a selection of trade stalls throughout the day. There are plenty of activities for the kids and a licenced bar on-site for the adults; with catering vendors so you don't have to cook.

The Great Western Brick Show

To celebrate 20 years of the original LEGO® fan event in the UK, visit the STEAM Museum for its Great Western Brick Show! Explore models of all sizes from railway layouts to aircraft and much more.
