How to Celebrate Mother’s Day this Year in Wiltshire

Spring is on the way. Daffodils and crocuses are springing up across Wiltshire, and our timeless landscapes are poised to turn green and leafy once more. At this time of year, we celebrate Mother’s Day – and in 2021 Mother’s Day will fall on Sunday 14 March. The Paradise Carriage at Whatley Manor will be serving a special Mother's Day menu featuring a beef or pork belly roast with triple cooked roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and seasonal vegetables followed by stiky toffee pudding with clotted cream. Just down the road, Lucknam Park have the choice between a traditional afternoon tea takeaway or a traditional Sunday lunch takeaway, both available to collect on Sunday 14 March. Just over the Wiltshire border in Hampshire, the Hawk Conservancy Trust are providing a Mother's Day three-course dinner or Mother's Day afternoon tea hamper to collect on Friday 12 or Sunday 14 March. The Crown and Anchor in Ham are offering a Mother's Day Sunday Lunch Box featuring a traditional roast of either black treacle cured beef sirloin or corn-fed guinea fowl supreme with all the trimmings followed by dessert and petit fours. Yum!

When it comes to drinks, a virtual Gin Cocktail Masterclass from Bombay Sapphire is the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion from home.
