Mother’s Day is fast approaching. If you are looking for some fun things to do with mum, or perhaps some pampering and relaxation then check out our top ten tips below:
1. Indulge in an afternoon tea
Sample an award-winning afternoon tea at the Bridge Tea Rooms in historic Braford on Avon. Afterwards why not take a walk along the tow path of the Kennet & Avon Canal and pop into the Tithe Barn.
2. Treat yourselves to a Michelin-starred meal
For an informal lunch or dinner, head to the Red Lion Freehouse, East Chisenbury, a pub with a Michelin star. Nearby you’ll also find the Harrow at Little Bedwyn, with its extensive wine collection.

Pop along to St Peter’s Church at the end of Marlborough’s High Street for a Young Musician Concert.
4. Take part in the Springtime discovery trail at Mompesson House
Spot the signs of spring around Mompesson House and garden with this new, family trail.

The Larmer Tree will be opening for their 2017 season on Mother’s Day. Enjoy exploring these quirky gardens, with ornamental buildings, roaming peacocks and tea room. See if you can spot the fairies houses with mum too! Makes a nice spot to visit after a lunch at nearby eateries the King John Inn or the Royal Oak Inn.
