Places to stay with views of Salisbury Cathedral

A visit to Salisbury isn’t complete without a trip to Salisbury Cathedral. With Britain’s tallest spire, one of the best preserved Magna Carta manuscripts and stunning architecture it is one of Wiltshire’s must-see attractions.

Sarum College can be found within the Cathedral Close. Sarum College is a theological college which also runs a variety of events including art exhibitions, lectures and concerts. The college has a number of bedrooms with single, double and twin rooms – some of which offer cathedral views.

Belle View

Also located within the Cathedral Close, Belle View is a self-catering property owned by Salisbury Cathedral and offers uninterrupted views across the lawn to the cathedral.

Mercure White Hart Hotel

A quick walk from the Mercure White Hart Hotel will take you into the Cathedral Close. Some of the bedrooms at the front of the hotel offer views across to the cathedral.

Grasmere House Hotel 

This three star hotel is located in Harnham, on the edge of Salisbury. From the rear of the Grasmere you get fantastic views across the water meadows to Salisbury Cathedral.

Legacy Rose & Crown Hotel

Also located in Harnham, the Legacy Rose & Crown Hotel is a four star hotel with a rear garden backing onto the River Avon with views also across the water meadows to the cathedral. Some of the bedrooms in the more modern wing of the hotel offer the view across the meadows towards the Cathedral.
