Away from the hustle and bustle of any city, this delightful country pub re-opened in July 2015 after a major refurbishment by the new owners Alison Ward-Baptiste and Chef Alex Venables, a previous Michelin star winner.  With the recent addition of luxurious guests rooms, it now styles itself as "a a pub with rooms - all you need for a quiet night or a rural weekend away from it all.  With delicious fine dining to boot.

The George, hidden away in the Wiltshire Countryside, is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding Cotswold's, feasting on Classic British pub grub with a twist, having a good chinwag with the friendly bar staff and sloping off to bed while gazing out a the rolling fields and country lanes

Nestled in the hamlet of Woolley, we are just down the road from historic Bradford on Avon, where you can enjoy a pleasant stroll along the Kennet and Avon canal, or stop for a coffee while exploring the antique shops.

We completed a total refurbishment of the upper floors of the property in July 2016, and now have 2 superb luxury holiday apartments available for guests. Guest accommodation is totally self contained, with easy access in and out of the main property.

You can use the apartment as a holiday home and do your own thing, and we will provide you daily with Breakfast hampers, or take the strain out of cooking and chef and his team offer breakfast daily from 9.30am which is included in the price of your stay.

They've proved particularly popular with guests to weddings being held at the nearby Wooley Grange Hotel and Leigh Park Hotel.
