About
Wallop Wheels & Wings is back, and this year promises to be bigger and better than before. The event will showcase a spectacular display of classic aircraft, super and classic cars, and motorcycles. In a change to the event this year, visitors will see aircraft flying into and out of the airfield throughout the day, weather permitting. Also new for this year, there will be a Concours D' Elegance for aircraft. A full entertainment programme will run throughout the day, including vehicle parades, a motorcycle cavalcade and an engine roar.
Rolls-Royce is sponsoring this year's event as a Silver Sponsor and will be bringing their STEM trailer to the event to inspire young minds. In addition, the Museum are thrilled to announce flypasts by the Mk XIX Spitfire and P51 Mustang from the Rolls-Royce Heritage Flight, as well as one of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's Spitfires and Navy Wings' Swordfish, weather permitting.
Car enthusiasts will be treated to the sight of some stunning classic and supercars, with the Porsche Club, Ferrari Owner's Club, Wessex Area Lotus Club, Austin Healey Club and Aston Martin Owner's Club in attendance, plus the Sporting Bears will be back and Thruxton will once again be supporting the event with some of their fabulous vehicles on display.
An esteemed panel of judges from the motoring world will award prizes for a range of categories in the popular Concours D'Elegance. The event will also showcase some great motorcycles, with the British Army Motorsports Association making a special appearance at this year's event.
For non-enthusiasts, there will be the opportunity to browse the artisan trader village, with over forty stalls selling a wide range of arts, crafts, food and drink, including a return to the event from Hampshire Fare, who will be in attendance celebrating the start of the Hampshire Food Festival. There will be a range of local ales courtesy of Hopback Brewery.
Activities for families and children will be abundant, with laser tag, circus skills, pedal planes, mini tanks, face painting and lots of craft and interactive activities to keep little ones busy throughout the day.
A packed programme of live music will offer a vintage feel and the Living History area will provide the opportunity to meet some fabulous living history groups re-enacting life in the Second World War. There will also be the chance to explore the charity village which will be highlighting some amazing military charities.
Full-price ticket holders will automatically receive an *annual pass enabling them to visit the Museum free of charge as many times as they like for the next 12 months (*does not include special event days). There is limited entry to the Museum on the day, which is restricted to those who have upgraded their ticket to include Museum entry on Saturday 1st July 2023.
