About
Local retirees are invited to join TV presenter and gardening expert Charlie Dimmock at McCarthy Stone's Monument Place Retirement Living Plus development and Castle Gate Retirement Living development in Salisbury later this month as part of an exclusive summer celebration.
Charlie Dimmock first shot to fame in 1997, when she joined the gardening series Ground Force. Since then, she has presented many programmes such as The Joy of Gardening and Charlie's Garden Army. Charlie is currently a member of the presenting team on Garden Rescue, a series focusing on garden transformations.
The exciting event will take place in the landscaped gardens of the dual-development on Endless Street on Friday 30th July from 11am-3pm. Guests will be treated to strawberries and cream before Charlie makes a special appearance at 12pm. Charlie will then entertain guests with a gardening demonstration, providing advice and inspiration for planting schemes that encourage small birds and insects to visit.
Event attendees can ask the TV presenter their own gardening queries as part of a Question-and-Answer session and there will be an opportunity to take a picture with Charlie during a socially distanced meet and greet.
Attendees are required to book in advance to secure a space on the guest list by calling 0800 310 0383.
Charlie Dimmock said: "I'm really looking forward to the event in Salisbury. I can't wait to meet everyone and answer their gardening questions and as well as sharing tips during my demonstration. It will be a fun day."
