Trio Paradis Cafe Concert

Trio Paradis play a Café Concert at Malmesbury Abbey on the first Tuesday afternoon of each month at 2pm: informal feel-good music events with refreshments available in the abbey café before and after the concert, where you can chat friends over tea/coffee and cakes.

June's programme is inspired by flowers and gardens, with plenty of roses (from Schubert Heidenröslein to Fauré Roses d'Isphahan and Strauss's Roses from the South…), meadow flowers by Danish composer Rud Langgaard, and violets from Croatian pianist-composer Dora Pejacevic and English songwriter Muriel Herbert. Lili Boulanger's lovely piece D'un Jardin clair also makes an appearance.

Concerts last c45m and entrance - or rather, exit! - is by donation, with a retiring collection. Booking at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/trio is very much appreciated though not absolutely essential.
