Trio Paradis Cafe Concert at St Andrews Chippenham: Flower Gardens

Trio Paradis play a Café Concert at St Andrew's Church on the first Tuesday of each month at 11am: informal music events with refreshments available from 10.30 in the pop-up café where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and enjoy live music.

June's programme is inspired by flowers and gardens, with plenty of roses (from Schubert Heidenröslein to Fauré Roses d'Isphahan and Strauss's Roses from the South…), meadow flowers by Danish composer Rud Langgaard, and violets from Croatian pianist-composer Dora Pejacevic and English songwriter Muriel Herbert. Lili Boulanger's lovely piece D'un Jardin clair also makes an appearance.

Concerts last c45m and entrance is by donation, with a retiring collection. Booking at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/trio is much appreciated although not absolutely essential.
