About
This unique course is designed to get you as involved as possible - including identifying, picking, and tasting a range of wild species that you will find on the day, and lots of sample food and drink items for everyone to get stuck into!
The focus with all of our workshops is on the 4 'F's of Foraging: Fungi, Fruit, Flowers and Foliage.
Here is what you can expect from your foraging workshop:
a circular walking route taking in different growing environments within the wooded boundaries of Postern Hill Campsite boundaries, nestled within the Ancient Savernake Forest . Expect a route of around 1-2km predominantly on footpaths.
a closer look at edible wild species and any poisonous lookalikes by a professional forager
a chance to immerse yourself in a soul-nourishing activity, reconnecting with nature and discovering new flavours.
small tasters of wild food, drink and preserves - this includes nibbles of freshly picked items straight from the hedgerow. This session will include a wild snack made in advance by our passionate tutor! Whatever you get to try on the day, you will leave fizzing with inspiration!
