Music festivals to enjoy
There are several music festivals that take place here in Wiltshire including the world-renowned WOMAD Festival and the End of the Road Festival, held in the beautiful Larmer Tree gardens.
The small village of Edington, near Westbury, comes alive in late August with the arrival of the Edington Music Festival, focusing on choral music.
Cultural festivals
One of the most prestigious cultural festivals in Wiltshire is the Salisbury International Arts Festival, with it talks, street entertainment, theatre, dance and music events at venues across Salisbury and south Wiltshire.
The towns of Malmesbury and Devizes are brought to life with an array of events as part of their annual festivals and carnivals including the spectacular Devizes Confetti Battle!
During the second Bank Holiday weekend in May, Chippenham sees the arrival of the annual Folk Festival bringing four days of English traditional folk song, music and dance. A festival that’s popular with all ages!
History festivals
Taking place just south of Salisbury, in the beautiful Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is the Chalke Valley History Festival. Not only will you be able to enjoy talks by famous historians and broadcasters but you can enjoy re-enactments, air shows and discussions and debates.

Literature Festivals
Celebrate all things literary with one of our Literature Festivals. Annual festivals include Swindon Spring Festival – of literature and the arts (May) and Mere (October). Programmes often include talks, workshops and readings.
Walking Festivals
Bradford on Avon and Corsham both run annual walking festivals where visitors and locals can book onto walks of a variety of lengths and taking in different places in the local area. Look out for themed walks such as ghost walks, foraging or simply explore parts of Wiltshire that you didn’t know before.
