About
'Christmas in colours' at Avebury
Traditions are what make Christmas; whether it's a seasonal recipe that gets made every year, a favourite National Trust property to be inspired by Christmas decorations or a winter walk you do with loved ones. This year our theme is 'Christmas in colours' and you'll find Avebury Manor decorated with the crystal whites of frosty winter to the warm tones of the fireside.
Christmas in colours (20 November – 2 January)
Wreath making workshops (29 November)
Winter warmer walk (3 December)
Music, lights and merriment (4 December)
Winter family trail: Percy the Park Keeper (4 December - 3 January)
Christmas market (5 December)
Winter warmer walk (9 December)
Reindeer hobby horse making (20 - 23 December)
Each of the rooms in Avebury Manor will be decorated in a different colour. Enjoy the russet reds and oranges of the Tudor Parlour, see the beautiful blue and purple handmade peacock that sits at the head of the table in the Georgian Dining Room, the evergreen shades in the Billard Room and many more discoveries as you journey through the ages.
There's a family area in the Withdrawing Room with children's toys and stories under a rainbow tree. There will also be a 'tree of hope' where visitors can add their wish for the new year.
Avebury Manor is open Thu-Sun during this period (subject to volunteer availability). We advise that you ring 01672 539250 before travelling.
