Christmas at Avebury Manor - The story of the Nutcracker

Once again Avebury Manor is decorated with delicate hand-crafted ornaments, skilfully made by our dedicated volunteer team. This year we tell the story of The Nutcracker, with each room dressed to reflect a part of The Nutcracker story. Join Clara and her Prince as they journey through magical realms including the enchanted forest, the waltz of the snowflakes and the lemonade canal. At the journey's end, the fairy's castle awaits with dancing courtiers and feast laden tables.

Families will also be entertained with a Christmas craft room in the downstairs Servants' Hall and a family room upstairs. Here, there are lots of toys and books to allow for a moment's rest at the end of the manor visit.
