Become a nature detective for the day at Westonbirt Arboretum's spring Bioblitz!
Join scientists, wildlife experts, and fellow nature lovers as you explore the arboretum, spotting and recording as many species as possible. From birds and bugs to botany and bryophytes, every discovery helps build a picture of the biodiversity at Westonbirt Arboretum.
Most activities are first come, first served, so be sure to arrive early at the Great Oak Hall to sign up. However, for early morning and evening sessions pre-booking is essential to secure your spot. Each activity will last for about 30 minutes to an hour.
Please note all activities are correct at the time of launch but are subject to change. Check back closer to the event date for the latest details and updates.

Saturday 26 April
7:30am – 9:30am Small mammal trapping survey, Newt survey. (Pre-book)
10:00am – 3:00pm Walks include: Botany, General invertebrates, Badger sett survey, Birds, Lichen, Mammal tracking, Pest and diseases & beetle ID, Bryophytes, Bumblebees, Wildflowers . (First come, first served), Learning Activities. (Drop in sessions)
8:00pm - 9:30pm Bat survey (Pre-book)
Sunday 27 April
6:00am - 9:00am Early bird song walk , Moth trapping survey (Pre-book)
10:30am - 3:30pm Flora surveys & Learning Activities (Drop in sessions)
11:00am – 11:30am Talk of the day – Bats (First come. first served)
11:30am – 3:00pm Birds, Bryophytes, Wildflowers walks (First come. first served)
