Join me to explore the exciting world of mixed media printmaking in this creative evening course, perfect for beginners and those looking to expand their artistic skills of all levels. Over the duration of this 6-week course, you'll experiment with a variety of techniques, including monoprinting, drypoint, collagraph, and layering using lino, stencils and textures.
If you like collaging or gelliplate printing this is a great course for testing ideas and finding out what happens when you experiment with combining traditional and modern methods. It's an excellent opportunity to branch out and discover your artistic style!
What will I learn?
- History and techniques, as well as contemporary artists
- The essential materials and tools used, including drypoint, relief carving tools, inks and papers
- Studio safety and best practices when handling tools and operating presses
- The principles of design and composition, but with freedom to break the rules.
