Coach Parking & EV Charging in Wiltshire

Wiltshire welcomes coach groups with a range of available parking and drop off points across the county. Before you bring your group to Wiltshire, make sure to research your route and know where you can park your coach, drop off and pick up passengers in the towns and villages you plan to visit. We’ve put together a useful guide for operators which also includes Electric Vehicle Charging Points (EVCP):

Amesbury

Parking: 2 designated coach bays in Central Car Park, SP4 7JE.
Note: Coach Welcome Scheme available with local guides.
EVCP: Main car park in Amesbury on the A345.

Avebury

Parking: National Trust Car Park, SN8 1RD.
Note: Limited space in summer; advance booking recommended. If full, coaches can drop off/pick up in the High Street.

Bradford on Avon

Parking: Long stay in Station Car Park, BA15 1DQ (4 spaces).
Note: If full, coaches can use Moulton Drive, BA15 1UF.

Calne

Drop-off/Pick up only: The Strand, SN11 0EH.
Note: No coach parking in town centre but contact town council to arrange parking prior to visit.

Castle Combe

Parking: Main car park at the top of the hill, SN14 7HU.
Note: Some uphill walking required for passengers. Narrow roads make it unsuitable for full size coaches.

Chippenham

Parking: Sadlers Mead Car Park, SN15 3PA.

Corsham

Parking: Must be arranged with Corsham Town Council in advance of visit.
EVCP: Post Office Lane (Long-Stay) Car Park.

Cricklade

Parking: No formal bays, but coaches may park along The Causeway, SN6 6AE.
Drop off/ Pick up only: Points close to High Street.
Parking: No designated coach parking, but coaches can park on the Causeway SN6 6DQ.
EVCP: Fairview Fields Car Park - just off the A419 by the rugby club. Cricklade Leisure Centre, Stones Lane.

Devizes

Drop off/Pick up only: Two designated drop off points in New Park Street SN10 1DS (20-minute limit).
Parking: Extra spaces at far end of Station Road Car Park SN10 1BZ. Four spaces at Wharf Car Park SN10 1EB.
Note:  Awarded Confederation of Passenger Transport UK Coach Friendly status.

Lacock

Parking: Hither Way Car Park, SN15 2LG (approx. 220 yards from Abbey).
Note: Follow National Trust signs.

Ludgershall

Drop off / pick up only: For Ludgershall Castle and Cross outside main gate, SP11 9QT.
Parking: Coaches can park in front of the Crown Pub near the War Memorial.

Malmesbury

Drop-off/pick up only: Cross Hayes, SN16 9BZ.
Parking: Two free bays at Station Yard Car Park SN16 9JT, just before entrance to long stay car park.
EVCP: 2 devices and 4 connectors at Aldi, SN16 9JL.

Marlborough

Drop off/pick up only - Designated drop off point on the High Street outside Jubilee Centre, SN8 1LW.
Parking: George Lane Car Park, SN8 4BX.
Note: Awarded Confederation of Passenger Transport UK Coach Friendly Status.

Mere

Parking: Off street town centre parking at Salisbury Street, BA12 6HB or Castle Street, BA12 6JA.

Melksham

Parking: King Street Car Park, SN12 6HB.

Salisbury

Drop-off/ Pick up only: St John Street, SP1 2SB.
Parking: Main coach parking at Millstream Coach Park, SP1 3TA and Central Coach Park, view the latest map highlighting the coach set-down and parking locations here. Overflow at Britford Park & Ride SP5 4DS.

Drop-off/Pick up only: Bus Station in Newbridge Square, SN1 1EA. Shaw Ridge Leisure Park, SN5 7DW.
Parking: Swindon Truck Stop (A420 Oxford Rd), SN3 4HD. For McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon, coach parking is available on site, SN3 4ER. County Ground (non-match days only).
EVCP: 2 slow chargers in Whalebridge car park. 2 fast chargers in Brunel North, plus 4 on Civic campus.

Tisbury

Parking: No designated coach parking but spaces maybe available on roadside or limited formal coach space in Avenue Car Park, SP3 6JJ.

Trowbridge

Drop-off/Pick up only: Outside Civic Centre, BA14 8AH or in loading bay behind Shires Shopping Centre, BA14 8AT.
Parking: Street parking on Canal Road, BA14 8RL.
EVCP: Cradle Bridge Retail Park, County Way; Lovemead Car Park, Duke Street; Bythesea Road; 94 Newtown; 110-122 Bythesea Road; 32-33 Bythesea Road; 6 Station Approach; County Way; 12 Westbury Road.

Vale of Pewsey

Parking: Bouverie Hall Car Park, SN9 5ES, The Wharf & Village Car Park, SN8 3PB or for Wilton Windmill SN8 3SW for 2-3 coaches. By arrangement at The Waterfront at Pewsey Wharf SN9 5NU or Crofton Beam Engines SN8 3DW – call 01672 870300.

Please note that coach parking may be limited during peak seasons. We recommend advance booking wherever possible and enquiring about designated drop-off points and easy access arrangements.
