Groups needed to help make history as the Salisbury Giant goes out and about!
On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th August 2023, groups of all kinds from across Salisbury are invited to have an official photo taken with two very special older city residents! To celebrate the year of Kings Charles III's Coronation, Salisbury Museum are hoping to bring the Salisbury Giant and his friend Hob-Nob the horse out of the Museum for the first time in over 40 years.
There is also the option for selected groups to decorate a sash for the Giant to wear on the way!
Wear your groups's kit or uniform if you have one or bring props-creatively encouraged! Photos taken will be displayed alongside the Giant as part of the exciting new re-development at Salisbury Museum.
For centuries, the Giant and Hob-Nob were to be seen amongst the crowds at celebrations. These group portraits are part of a long tradition of official photographs with the Giant.
We're inviting groups of all kinds to join us on 5th/6th August for this unique opportunity. Stay tuned to the mystery location to be revealed!
