Amesbury
A small town just 2 miles from the prehistoric Stonehenge, Amesbury is an attractive town sitting on the River Avon. With a breath-taking museum housing one of Britain's largest mesolithic collection, and an amazing story, hotels, B&B's, independent shops, restaurants and inns, the town offers a great stopping point for travellers and visitors to the surrounding area.
Tisbury
Steeped in over 2,000 years of history, Tisbury is the largest village in Wiltshire's Nadder Valley, located in the West Wiltshire Downs National Landscape. St John's 12-Centry parish church is in the centre, boasting an ancient Yew Tree in its churchyard, which is still flourishing after 4,000 years! At the edge of the village is the Grade 1 Listed thatched Tithe Barn, arguably the largest Tithe Barn in Englane.
Wilton
Wilton is the ancient capital of Wessex, a traditional Wiltshire market town 3 miles west of Salisbury with a history spanning more than 2,000 years. With free parking, visitors have easy access to a wide range of traditional family-owned shops, pubs, cafes and more! A short walk from the Market Square and the Old St Mary’s Church Ruin is the famous Italianate Church and a delightful river walk along the Wylye. Wilton Shopping Village can also be explored, and Wilton House can be found just next door, a recognisable landmark from the recent Bridgerton series!
