Things to do on the Hampshire borders

Just literally on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border you can find the Museum of Army Flying, located at the Army Air Corps Airfield at Middle Wallop, just a short drive from Salisbury.
The Museum is set within two large hangars and details the journey of British soldiers in the air and holds lots of events for families particularly in the school holidays.

Keeping the family-friendly theme is the Hawk Conservancy Trust, near Andover. Watch the daily flying displays in the arena and see over 150 birds of prey on show including eagles, owls and ibis. 

Explore the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, on the edge of Romsey. Home to over 500 champion trees and 42,000 plants from around the world, enjoy strolls through the 180 gardens and arboretum. The gardens stage regular art and sculpture exhibitions as well as events for all the family.

Activities on the Hampshire borders

Keen walkers should head to the New Forest National Park with its ample footpaths or perhaps take on the Clarendon Way – a long distance walking route between Salisbury and Winchester. Events often take place along the Clarendon Way including sponsored walks and the Clarendon Way marathon.
