Fitness classes and activities
Most of the gyms in the area offer fitness classes as part of their weekly activity programmes. Please check with the individual gym as to whether you need to book in advance or be a member to take part.
If you are a keen runner, or simply want to get started with running then look out for the weekly 5k Parkrun which takes place in Churchill Gardens each Saturday morning. All are welcome at the event although there is now a dedicated junior Parkrun at the same location on a Sunday morning.
For tennis enthusiasts then look out for reduced rate or free tennis at Victoria Park Tennis Club. Courts can also be hired here by the hour.
There are also lots of clubs and societies in and around the city that welcome visitors so whether you are into running, cycling, walking or perhaps even skydiving you will find lots of options available to you.
