Salisbury Competitive Brand Positioning
In the autumn of 2018, Salisbury BID, Salisbury City Council and VisitWiltshire, with the support of Wiltshire Council, VisitBritain/VisitEngland and others, jointly commissioned a project to develop a competitive brand positioning for Salisbury. In this Brand Guide, we present the first outcomes from this project and share the new Salisbury positioning.
The Salisbury Competitive Brand Positioning was shared with stakeholders and businesses at an event in Salisbury Guildhall on 5 July 2019.
We are delighted that the positioning has been positively received, and would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the process to date.
The event was a valuable opportunity for us to share the new positioning for the first time and to gain feedback on the positioning and input to bring forward into the next stage of development and implementation.

We would also welcome hearing from anyone who would like to discuss contributing to the further development and implementation of the positioning either in terms of resourcing or in kind support.
Whilst the guidelines and toolkit (available March 2020) will provide greater practical support in implementing the positioning within communications, we would encourage anyone who wishes to start reflecting the positioning in their messaging or activity, to use the Brand Guide as a starting point and inspiration.
