Join Matt Pike - local historian and Stonehenge Writer in Residence - at 7pm on Tuesday 17 October 2023 for a fascinating exploration of the history of the Bishop's Palace and the Cathedral Close. Tickets are £10 including a glass of wine or a soft drink.
The evening will be the first presentation of a new talk called: The Bishop's Palace: Bishop Seth Ward's Sight for Sore Eyes, and other Close encounters. The talk will breathe new life into one of Salisbury's best kept secrets, The Bishop's Palace. Matt will guide you back to the 17th century when Samuel Pepys and Christopher Wren were regular visitors of Ingenious Dr Seth Ward and shed light on the darker sides of Salisbury's world-famous Cathedral Close.
