Pray take heed that on the third day of February in this year 2023 at 7.30pm within the sumptuous surroundings of your Great Medieval Hall in the Close of Salisbury Cathedral there will be performed for your pleasure and delight an Elizabethan Masque.
Witness a dramatic presentation of the trial of Mary, Queen of Scotland. Come and also hear the melodious sounds of fine-tuned voices and an assembly of recorders – our dear Queen Elizabeth's father, Henry, left behind a vast hoard of eight and seventy, such was his admiration for the device.
Marvel at the wit and words of Master Marlow and his 'History of the Damnable Life and Deserved Death of Dr John Faustus' embellished by Music, Poetry, Theatre, Dance and puppetry Devils, Dragons and Demons.
All imagined and directed by Mr Paul Borelli and aided by talented actors Mr Courtney Spence and the fair lady Hannah Stokely accompanied by the sweet voices of the Farrant Singers with the Close Consort of Recorders and skilled puppeteers.
