What to do
Salisbury prides itself on the wide variety of independent shops and retailers in the city with streets to look out for such as Winchester Street and Fisherton Street, lined with shops with that 'something special'. Take a walk towards the top of Fisherton Street and tucked away you will find Fisherton Mill and Gallery Cafe (along with a giant reindeer!). As the largest independent gallery in the South West, it is an amazing treasure trove of contemporary art and crafts.
Of course you will also see many of the big high street names throughout the three main shopping malls – Cross Keys, The Maltings, and the Old George Shopping Malls, so all your shopping needs are well catered for.
There are no shortage of places to eat around the city with coffee shops, cafes, bistros, bars, restaurants and pubs - all your refreshment stops are covered too!
And as you will have been well fed and watered during the day you will hopefully stay on in to the evening and enjoy the city at night. Why not take in a show at the City Hall, or get in the festive spirit and head off to see Cinderella at the Salisbury Playhouse.
Then there’s still time to party on… with venues like the popular Chapel Nightclub, staying open until 3am you can dance the night away! A selection of take-away food establishments in Milford Street will be open until the early hours and taxis are on hand to take you back to your hotel.
