This year The Royal British Legion is celebrating its 100th anniversary and more importantly 100 years of support for those who have served with Her Majesty's Armed Forces.
Salisbury Cathedral are delighted to welcome The Central Band of the Royal British Legion, under the baton of the energetic Captain David Cole, former Director of Music on HMY Britannia. The Central Band has established itself as a respected and in-demand ensemble.
The Orchestra will perform alongside the St John Singers and soloist Sarah Lamb to an audience including the Chelsea Pensioners.
Images will be shown during the evening to popular songs of World War II. Wartime classics and will feature in the programme, as well as works by Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Miller Memories.
This celebratory concert will have a reduced seating capacity, with more space either behind or in front of your seat. Tickets are zoned with unreserved seating. Wheelchair user tickets will include one free companion seat. There will also be screens throughout the Cathedral to aid your enjoyment.
Doors open at 18:30 and there will be an interview during the concert.
