About
A Talk by Denis Pellerin and Rebecca Sharpe from the Brian May Archive of Stereoscopy.
Henry Brooks and his family are hardly remembered these days, yet they lived in High Street, Salisbury, for nearly a century.
Henry was in turn a wood turner, a carver and gilder, a picture restorer, a frame maker and a painter. He was also one of the earliest Salisbury photographers, opening his studio around 1855, and his business was carried on by his sons well into the twentieth century.
Photo historians Denis Pellerin and Rebecca Sharpe, from the Brian May Archive of Stereoscopy, will bring the Brooks family back to life for this evening.
