About
"Miserere" promises to be an evening filled with the enchanting melodies of baroque music, featuring compositions by renowned artists such as Bach, Scarlatti, Domenico Zipoli, Martin Schmid, and more. The singers of the Larkhill Choral Society will be accompanied by the excellent Wiltshire based pianist George Fradley and a professional string trio of two violins and a cello. In addition we have a professional soprano joining our ranks for the evening.
Larkhill Choral Society concerts are much more than an evening of enjoyable music. They are a very sociable occasion. We provide complimentary canapés during the interval and soft drinks and wine are available to purchase both before the concert and during the interval. The concerts are a great occasion for an evening out with friends.
Larkhill Choral Society has a long history of performing concerts in The Garrison Church at Larkhill. Originally the choir was formed so service personnel and civilians could sing together but currently we have no active military members just retired ones! We welcome new singers of both types and all ages to our ranks. We do not have a policy of auditioning members but we do suggest you have done some singing before (not just in the shower). This could be singing in a school choir or a church choir or even with a 'pop' group. We sing a wide range of music and the emphasis of each concert varies.
